Problem:
Editing text is removing formatting!I would like to offer my clients the WYSIWYG class as they will be
editing some larger paragraphs of main text and ideally they would
want to lay it out so there are line breaks etc to move onto new
paragraphs. That area of text is usually given over to "body" or
"normal" (raher than h1 or h2 tags for instance) in my design process.
However, what I've noticed is that if they highlight all the text (to
change) and type in the new content (or copy/paste) then they destroy
the formatting and they invariably get Times, colour black. If they
don't delete all the "old" text first but first enter their new text,
and then delete the unwanted "old" text the formattting is preserved.
OK, that could be an instruction to them (not to delete the old text
first) but ideally people are normally used to just going in, deleting
the unwanted text first and the typing in their new content on the
blank canvas.
Initially the Format field will show "Normal" for example, but then on
deleting the old text this will disappear and obviously that is where
the problem is. Reinstating the Format to "Normal" later does not
resolve the matter, obviously.
This is the only problem I have with Cushy, and is holding me back
from implementing it with my clients and going PRO.
Is there something wrong with my code?
